NJIT Gains More Ground in U.S. News & World Report Ranking

New Jersey Institute of Technology has improved 15 ranks in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for Best National Universities during the last three years, including a jump of five in the 2017 edition of the rankings, which were released by U.S. News today. NJIT now is ranked 135th overall among the nation's major research universities. U.S. News reviews nearly 1,400 colleges and universities nationally, considering criteria that include assessment by peers and counselors, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving rate.

The Newark College of Engineering (NCE) is ranked #92 on the newest U.S. News & World Report list of best graduate schools, ascending 19 positions since last year. NCE shares the #92 ranking with George Washington University, Missouri University of Science & Technology, Texas Tech University, University of Kentucky and University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

NJIT Raises Undergraduate In-State Tuition and Fees by $766 annually for Upcoming Fall

The NJIT Board of Trustees has approved a 5.5 percent or $766 annual tuition and fee increase for in-state undergraduate students for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Board also approved room and board increases averaging 2.4 percent. Tuition and fees for out-of-state undergraduate students for the 2012-2013 academic year will increase 7.3 percent.
