Some students prefer to live off-campus. Residence Life can assist them with finding off-campus accomodations.

Res Life has an Off-Campus Housing Coordinator who is available to meet with students to give them guidance on off-campus apartment hunting, landlord relations, and getting around.

Many NJIT students live off-campus in the nearby towns of Harrison and Kearny. NJIT operates a shuttle bus jointly with Rutgers-Newark that serves both campuses, local mass transit stops, and stops in both Harrison and Kearny.
