NJIT Service Corps
If you want to make a real-world difference while studying, the NJIT Service Corps might be for you.
Join other students (as well as alumni, faculty, and staff) to work with non-profit organizations here in Newark, as well as elsewhere around the state.
Previous NJIT students have done work such as:
- videotaped Newark residence for an oral history project
- trained staff at St. Michael's Medical Center on software packages
- designed a database for the Newark Museum
- prepared and served food at Eva's Soup Kitchen and Shelter
- built homes with Habitat for Humanity
- served as literacy tutors at Burnett Street Elementary School
