Create UCID & Password

After you create your UCID, apply HERE.  If issues arise, clear your cache/cookies and use a VPN. **Please note that we are currently migrating to a new housing system for all incoming first year students.  We will email your NJIT email address once the housing application is up and available for students to     apply.  

Complete Application Information 

Fill all personal information on the application.  Make sure you select all drop down menus to select an answer.

Single Room Availability

Single rooms are unlikely for new students.

Be sure to read the 2025-2026 Terms and Conditions, specifically the cancellation policy 

Submit Application

You will receive a confirmation letter via NJIT email upon your submission.

Transfer & Graduate Wait List

Transfer/graduate students may be added to a wait list, prioritized by distance, application date, and need.

First-Year Housing Priority

Apply by May 1st to avoid the wait list.  Late applicants are prioritized by distance and need

Transfer/Graduate assignments will be emailed via NJIT email mid-July or January 

First Year Room Selection

Online room selection will take place during the summer, with more details posted on our website in May.
