How much is the Tuition?
The current tuition and fee rates for undergraduate and graduate students is available in our Tuition and Fees Tab..


How do I pay my bill?
You can  pay online through Highlander Pipeline using MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.  Please note:  A  2.75% non-refundable service fee will be added to each credit card transaction.  Payment by electronic check (E-check), which is a no-fee alternative, is also available.  In addition, you may wire transfer funds to NJIT.

Please put your NJIT-ID number on your check or money order. This is for your benefit to do so. This makes certain we credit the correct account with your payment.

What happens if my check is returned?

You will be charged a $30.00 returned check charge.  If you process 3 checks that are returned, you will not be able to pay by check.  Payment must be made in cash, cashiers check, money order, or credit card.

What happens if I do not pay my bill by the due date?

If a student is unable to make payment, they can always sign up for a payment plan.  If this is not an option, then the student will be subject to late fees, reinstatement fees and course cancellation.  Course cancellation includes total withdrawal form courses including Moodle access.

Once cancellation occurs for the semester, and if the student wishes to return to NJIT for the following semester, the student will need to reapply for admissions.

If you are unable to pay your term bill in full by the due date, a payment plan may be the solution.  Payment plans allow term bills to be spread over several months.  To sign up for a payment plan - please sign into Highlander Pipeline at mynjit.edu

What does cancellation mean?

When a student's courses are cancelled, the student is no longer considered an NJIT student.  Their Moodle access will be terminated.  If the student wants to return to NJIT, a new admission application will have to be submitted.

International Wire Transfer

The New Jersey Institute of Technology has partnered with peerTransfer to streamline the tuition payment process for our international students.  With peerTransfer, you are offered excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional banks.  You will also be notified via email when your payment is received by the school.

Do I have to pay my bill all at once?
No, you may take advantage of one of our payment plans. Please go to the How to Tutorials tab for more information or click here.

What do I do if my financial aid has not been processed yet?
Please review your financial aid requirements in self-service for more information.  If you have further questions please email: finaid@njit.edu
