Bursar FAQs
The Office of the Bursar is located in the Student Mall under the parking deck on Summit St. You may access the office by using parking Lot 3.
If you have any billing questions, please visit our office in the Student Mall. We can be reached via email (bursar@njit.edu) or call us at 973-596-2877.
The Office of the Bursar is open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm. At the start of each semester, the office will be open some late nights to accommodate students. Holiday schedule may affect hours of operation.
Petty cash is disbursed between 9:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Hours are subject to change during the Holidays. Please make sure your form is complete with authorized signatures, as well as orginal receipts.

NJIT accepts cash (for coins - up to $5 rolled), check (return check fees apply), and money order. You may also send a check or money order via mail. Credit cards are accepted through our payment portal by logging in to MyNJIT.

The purpose of this fee is to continue to help support a portion of the costs associated with an array of varied, but integral services and projects that directly affect our students. All students are charged the University Fee.
The student will be subject to a $500 Payment Penalty Fee.
Accounts will be charged the $500 payment penalty if they are not fully covered, partial payments are not considered fully covered. Please review the NJIT Payment Policy for Tuition and Fees.
NJIT Policy is that all students must be paid in full to have a hold removed.
No, late registration fees may not be removed. You may contest it by filling out a hardship request form.
All refund checks are mailed to the student address on file in their MyNJIT account. Checks may not be picked up.
Refunds are based upon the academic calendar, please contact the Registrar's office.

Students are responsible for all courses registered for and not dropped. You may contact the Registrars Office and/or complete a hardship appeal.
