Community Service

"If you really want to stand out from the crowd and be recognized by society, then it is the quality of contribution which you make to others that counts.”  Wynona Lipman, Former NJ State Senator
National Volunteer Week will culminate on Friday, April 20th with a community service project at the Bessie Mae Women's Health Center in partnership with William Paterson University.

At NJIT, we are committed to fostering opportunities for students to share their skills, talents and enthusiasm through service for the benefit of our communities.  Through the civic engagement programs, our students have become an invaluable resource of both technical and non-technical help for local and regional agencies.  We link students, alumni, faculty, and staff directly to community service activities with non-profit organizations located in and around Newark and throughout the state of New Jersey.
