Thanks & Recognition

The Scholarship Brunch, Colton Society Celebration, and Cornerstone Society Luncheon are three of the university’s premier annual recognition programs, all of which offer students and faculty the opportunity to extend their personal thanks to NJIT’s benefactors.

Scholarship Brunch

The annual Scholarship Brunch provides the university community with an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the generosity of donors who have created scholarships at NJIT over the years. Now in its 32nd year, the Scholarship Brunch attracts alumni and friends from across the country, facilitating meetings with their student scholarship recipients and fellow scholarship donors.

The 2022 NJIT Scholarship Brunch was held on Friday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m. (EST).

Colton Society Celebration

In fall 2020, the NJIT community welcomed 63 alumni and friends as inaugural members of the Colton Society at the first-ever Colton Society Celebration. This program recognized the exemplary generosity of university donors whose lifetime gifts and estate commitments cumulatively exceed $500,000.

Each fall, new members are welcomed to the Society at an exclusive induction ceremony, and their names added to the Colton Society plaque located in iconic Eberhardt Hall. Details for the 2021 program are forthcoming. In the interim, video of the fall 2020 inaugural event is available here.

Cornerstone Society Luncheon

Each spring, the members of NJIT’s Cornerstone Society are celebrated at an exclusive invitation-only luncheon on campus. This event recognizes alumni and friends who have given gifts to NJIT for five or more consecutive years. Ongoing annual support provided by members of the Cornerstone Society strengthens NJIT's ability to create and sustain innovative academic programs, launch outreach initiatives designed to improve the local and global community, provide first-rate educational opportunities for deserving students, and conduct landmark research.
