Transfer credit is not factored into the calculation of the NJIT semester or your cumulative GPA.
To initiate the Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE), you must request an official transcript be sent directly to the NJIT Office of University Admissions from the institution you attended. Once completed, the TCE letter will be sent to your NJIT email account. If you have attended a New Jersey county/community college, you can verify course transferability on NJ Transfer.
Credits from Institutions Outside the United States
If you have attended foreign institutions of higher education, you are also required to submit an evaluation of your work from World Education Services Inc. or another approved evaluation service along with syllabi for each course. NJIT's academic departments review all foreign credits. For more information, review the International Transfer Credit Process.
Credits That Are Required to be Taken at NJIT
To graduate from NJIT, you are required to earn at least 33 credits in upper-division courses approved by your academic department.
