Program Details

Provides the groundwork for developing new statistical methods, as well as applying existing techniques, to interpret data about the medical and life sciences. 

What You Will Learn:

Students in the Biostatistics Essentials Graduate Certificate Program will learn a wide range of leadership and management skills in addition to the following skills: 

  • Statistical techniques with emphasis on applications in health-related sciences (Bayes’ theorem, basic epidemiologic tools and more). 
  • Different sampling methods. 
  • Statistical methods used in designing clinical trials and analyzing their data. 
  • Modeling of time-to-event data in the presence of censoring and truncation, with emphasis on applications to the health sciences.
