Teaches managerial aspects of contracting and the study of an individual firm in relation to the entire construction industry.
What You Will Learn:
Students in the Construction Management Graduate Certificate Program will learn a wide range of leadership and management skills in addition to the following skills:
- Construction cost estimating (computerized takeoff and estimating techniques, financial and cost reporting, indices, profit factors and more).
- Project implementation and progress control.
- Facility maintenance (planning/control of facilities use, utility management, personnel administration, budgets and costs, and more).
- Legal aspects of construction (contractor/engineer/owner responsibilities, subcontracts and third-party liability, code compliance, insurance, and bonds).
