Congratulations on your recent acceptance to NJIT in the Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD)! The Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD) and Office of Academic Advising (OAA) teams will help facilitate your smooth transition to the university.
WELCOME FALL 2024 ADMITTED TRANSFER STUDENTS! WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU.
OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS: If you have not done so already, please request an official transcript be sent directly from all previously attended colleges/universities to NJIT's Office of University Admissions (admissions@njit.edu). After official transcripts are received, a Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) can be be completed. A copy of the TCE will then be sent to students via email to confirm the number of transfer credits you will receive at NJIT. Note: A transcript is no longer official when opened by and/or emailed from a student.
Architecture Majors, Digital Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design Majors:
- Advanced Placement Submission
- For art, architecture and design courses completed at your prior school, please use the following links to submit your course materials for credit and advanced placement evaluation. These courses must be evaluated separately by the HCAD department to ensure appropriate credit and placement in your major.
- HCAD Evaluation Guide details how to organize and submit your prior course materials in a digital file
- If you plan on submitting work for architecture or design credit, please begin to collect your syllabi, course descriptions and course work NOW. Advanced placement and transfer credit for major-specific courses cannot be approved without a thorough evaluation of these materials.

You will hear from your HCAD advisor regarding next steps for the coming semester. Once you receive your preliminary credit and schedule options from your HCAD advisor, please sign-up to attend an upcoming Transfer Registration Event as listed below for additional registration assistance.
