NJIT offers 19 PhD programs to Full-time and part-time students. Applicants seeking financial support for Full-time Ph.D. study should apply by December 15. The majority of chosen applicants receive support in the form of Teaching Assistantships or Research Assistantships. Exceptional students are considered for:
Gary Thomas Assistantships
- Eligibility: full-time entering Ph.D. students
- Years 1 & 2: University funded stipend, tuition and fees
- Years 3 & 4: Expected grant funded stipend, tuition and fees, plus additional $2,000 university award
Provost Assistantships
- Eligibility: full-time entering Ph.D. students
- Years 1 & 2: University funded stipend, tuition and fees
- Years 3 & 4: Expected grant funded stipend, tuition and fees
