CONCEPT
The CTR workshop is focused on translational research and innovative technologies for detecting and managing PFAS related contaminants in water, soil, air, infrastructure and consumable products. The CTR Workshop will engage faculty, research staff, undergraduate and graduate students and postdocs and external partners including major NJ universities, industry, utilities, business accelerators, government and community stakeholders who are pursuing or are interested in translational research and innovative technology development for removing the PFAS related contaminations in water, soil, air, infrastructure and environment for sustainable societies.
ATTENDEES
Workshop attendees include Industry-University- Community Showcase participants addressing critical challenges on PFAS decontamination and management in environment, soil, water, wastewater, waste, and consumable products through technology innovations. Participants include: Veolia North America, Langan, Allonia, Jersey Water Works, American Water, New Jersey American Water, CDM Smith, and Aqua American with government and community leaders from NJ State Legislation, NJ DEP, NJEDA, US Army Corps of Engineers, City of Newark, Jersey City MUA, Passaic Valley Water Commission, and Philadelphia Water Department. In addition, representatives from NJIT, Princeton University, Rutgers University, and Stevens Institute of Technology, and major engineering consulting companies in the research, development and translation of PFAS decontamination and management technologies will attend the workshop and participate in the showcase.
