Beginning with first-year students entering Fall 2026, NJIT will cover the entire out-of-state tuition differential through scholarship.

Out-of-State Tuition Coverage
NJIT’s commitment to access and affordability makes a nationally ranked STEM-focused education more attainable while supporting the region’s future innovation and workforce pipeline.
No Extra Application Needed
This initiative guarantees eligible NY and PA students receiving a merit-based scholarship will have the entire out-of-state tuition differential fully covered through scholarship.
Easy Application Process
Applying to NJIT is quick and seamless - just submit through the Common Application. All New York and Pennsylvania applicants offered admission are automatically considered — no separate application is required.
