Thank you for making the first CWL event of the year a success! Over 100 women faculty and staff gathered to welcome new members to our community, eat some delicious breakfast, and network with colleagues. This event was recognized in President Bloom's Fall 2015 Community Update.

Partners for Success Opening Luncheon & Orientation

Jo-Ann Raines, Tiffany Small, and Nancy Stefeen-Fluhr, coordinators for the Partners for Success program welcomed 15 junior/senior pairings at the second annual luncheon and orientation. This event was highlighted in the NJIT News Room.

The goal of the program is to assist recently hired women to become acclimated to the culture of NJIT and have a designated person as an initial resource and source of encouragement. Women who have been at NJIT for two years or less are termed Junior Partners, and are matched with Senior Partners who have five or more years at NJIT. 

Kay Turner, VP for Human Resources, delivered an inspiring keynote address. 

Sweet Retreat - Stress Management that Works Seminar

Stress is a fact of life. While we can’t avoid the types of normal stress which are part of everyday life, we can learn to adjust and adapt to that which we cannot change. In this seminar, licensed clinical social worker, Wendi Rothstein, will identify good and bad stressors and provide tips and techniques for successfully reducing stress and anxiety. Participants will also learn to recognize reactions to stress and develop better control over their lives.
