Resident Student Package Lockers

Starting in late spring of 2024, on-campus resident student packages will no longer be delivered directly to the residence halls (with the exception of Maple Hall). Instead, resident student packages will be delivered to the NJIT mailroom who will then load them into automated package delivery lockers
located in the campus center. Resident students can then pick up their packages (during building hours) using the two kiosks.

Resident Student Package Lockers

Package delivery lockers (provided by a company called Smiota) were recently installed in room 135 of the campus center (near the dining seating area). Mailroom staff will receive resident packages in the main NJIT mailroom and will load them for pickup in these package lockers.Resident students living in the following locations will start to receive their packages via these lockers.

  •  Cypress Hall, 180 Bleeker Street
  • Greek Village, 05 thru 23 Greek Way
  • Martinson (Honors) Hall, 156-182 Warren Street
  •  Laurel Hall, 141 Summit Street
  •  Oak Hall, 155 Summit Street
  •  Redwood Hall, 186 Bleeker Street

Exception:

  • Maple Hall, 200 Warren Street. Please note that this building has it’s own locker system and so packages will continue to be delivered directly there. However, if a Maple Hall package comes to the mailroom in error, the mailroom will load that package into the campus center lockers for pickup.

Procedure:
1. The mailroom receives your resident student package at the Cullimore Hall room 003 mailroom.
2. Mailroom staff scan the package as received and apply a bar code to the package.
3. Mailroom staff bring the package to the Campus Center lockers and load them.
4. Resident student receives an email from ResidentPackage@njit.edu containing a QR code and a
5-digit PIN number.
5. Student scans the QR code at the Campus Center locker kiosk (or enters the PIN).
6. The appropriate locker door opens.
7. Student retrieves their package and closes the door.

Campus Center hours are posted and are typically Monday thru Friday (7:00am to 10:00pm) and
Saturday / Sunday (8:00am to 8:00pm). Building hours vary during breaks and holidays.

Warning: You must pick up your package from the lockers within 7 days of notice. If you do not,
your package will be taken from the lockers and retuned to the mailroom for pickup there.

Resident Student Package Addressing:

  •  Resident student packages (except for Maple Hall) should be addressed as follows:
