Students may access medical treatment at St. Michael's Primary and Specialty Care Center. St. Michael's is an independent healthcare organization.
ST. MICHAEL'S PRIMARY & SPECIALTY CARE CENTER
St. Michael's Primary & Specialty Care Center is an independent health care organization operated by Prime Healthcare.
Student's visiting St. Michael's Primary & Specialty Care Center will not be charged any initial out-of-pocket fees at the time of the visit. St. Michael's will send charges to the student's health insurance carrier following the visit. Student's are responsible to pay any outstanding fees directly to the St. Michael's organization.
The following services are provided:
- Treatment of common acute problems (colds, urinary tract infections, vomiting, rashes, acne);
- Treatment of accidents and injuries such as sprains, fractures and lacerations;
- Referral for testing/treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Health Education

- St. Michaels Primary and Specialty Care Center is a walk-in clinic; appointments are not accepted

Fees & Referrals
All eligible students may be seen at the St. Michael's Primary and Specialty Care Center for visits with a healthcare provider. Please make sure to bring your health insurance information to all visits. St. Michael's will charge fees for services provided through your insurance carrier. A co-pay is not collected at the time of your visit.
Referrals
Referrals are made to area hospitals, specialty physicians, off-sites laboratories, and other facilities such as physical therapy when appropriate. These referral facilities and providers have no direct affiliation with NJIT, and therefore the student is responsible for the payment of the hospital, specialist and/or laboratory fees assessed to the student. The university is not responsible for these fees.
Weekends and Emergencies
St. Michael's Primary and Specialty Care Center is closed on weekends.
