Perishable Mail and Packages:
The NJIT Mailroom does not have the means to preserve perishable items. If such items are delivered to the mailroom, they will be processed and delivered to the Resident Lockers in accordance with normal procedures and timelines. As such, these items are likely to expire – in which case, they will be disposed of without prior notification. Perishable deliveries that are not properly addressed (Full Name and Resident Hall) will not be accepted at the NJIT mailroom.
Food and Grocery Deliveries:
Items from direct food delivery or grocery services (such as Whole Foods, Walmart, Door Dash, Grub Hub, restaurants, etc) should be delivered directly to the resident. Please provide the delivery service with your direct contact information and arrange to meet the driver at your residence hall lobby for delivery. These deliveries will not be accepted and/or stored by the mailroom or residence life.
Note: The NJIT Mailroom is not responsible for (and is not equipped to handle) food deliveries from any couriers.
