Noncitizen Students Without F or J Status
Additional Immigration Resources
NJIT welcomes all students, regardless of their immigration status, as part of our community. The noncitizen student population includes individuals holding a visa status (e.g. F, H, J, L), TPS beneficiaries, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, Dreamers, refugees and displaced students, undocumented students, and others.
While the Office of Global Initiatives provides general guidance, support, and resources, international students with legal questions about their immigration or visa status are advised to consult an immigration attorney.
This is a resource to provide general information, but is not a replacement for legal advice.
All students are welcome to apply to NJIT regardless of their citizenship or residency status. Undocumented students, DACA students, and mixed family status students receive the same consideration as any other NJIT applicant during the review process.
